LUA partnered with the First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue's GetConnected Ministry to knit school sweaters - a required part of school uniforms in Kenya - for poor children attending the Mutumbini Primary School in Kaliluni.
More than 40 sweaters were knitted and the first 20 have been distributed. Most of the recipients were AIDS orphans or the children of single parents. The remaining sweaters will be distributed in the near future.
